2015 Favorites

I’m approaching my annual favorites post a little differently than I did last year. Instead of breaking it down by section, I’m just going to slap all my 2015 Favorites together. I liked plenty of things, but these are what I liked most.

2015 Favorites

Naked2 Basics - Social

Naked2 Basics, $29 – has been my lifesaver. Even when I first swatched it and decided I required it, I didn’t imagine I’d come to use it as much or as often as I did and do. Personally, I think it is superior to its predecessor…but I don’t own its predecessor, so I haven’t run it through the gauntlet, yet.

elftickledpink

e.l.f. Studio Blush in Tickled Pink, $3 – is a very subtle, pleasant peachy-pink hue. I wear it the most of all the blush I own; it’s hard to overdo, and isn’t too much for work.

cremeinyourcoffee_bullet

MAC Creme in Your Coffee, $17 – Such a nice MLBB, it stays and wears away well. Reapplies easily, and has that lovely signature MAC lipstick scent. I will repurchase a billion of these.

2015 Favorites - Philosophy Purity

Philosophy Purity, varies – I’m still rationing a very small (3oz) bottle, but I love this stuff. A lot. A tiny bit goes a long way to wash your face; and although I use Cetaphil Gentle most, this gives a slightly deeper (but still gentle!) clean when I feel I need it.

maybellineinstantagerew

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer, $7 – I feel like I’m beating a dead horse with this concealer, but when it’s right, it’s right.

nyxtaupe

NYX Taupe blush, $6 – is loved by many for contouring. I’m sure I will, too, once I figure out how the hell to do it properly. Meanwhile, I LOVE it for a crease color in eye looks…and for when I’m too lazy to actually do an eye look but wish to not appear quite so monotonal, color-wise.

nakedpalette

Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Smog, $19 – I’m not even explaining this one. Of all the shades in the Naked palette, it is my favorite – so much so that I bought a pan (on sale at Ulta) to back me up. I will buy it again and again.

2015 Favorites - Sephora Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Serum Foundation

Sephora Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Serum Foundation, $24 – I waxed poetic about this, used it religiously for a while, somehow fell from grace, but picked it back up at the end of the year. Forgive me, Sephora, for I have sinned; this foundation kills me. It’s SO good. I’m No. 12, Ecru.

Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner

Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner, $36 – changed my brush-care life. Although I still deep clean my brushes, I needn’t bother with the chore as often with this stuff. I still have my wee little spray bottle, but I’ll be investing in the 32oz monster once my no buy is over.

biore

Biore AQUA Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++ sunscreen, $10 – is, by far, the best facial sunscreen I’ve ever used. I haven’t yet needed to repurchase, but will be doing so. Even having it imported is cheaper than Supergoop and Coola. This stuff is fragrance free, feels wonderful, and doesn’t leave an awkward cast or (as far as I can tell) flash back in photography.

3min

Aussie 3-Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner, $3 – I’ve been using this for years off Capitol Hill Style’s recommendation, and some things don’t change. It’s still the best and most cost effective deep conditioner I’ve found that doesn’t make my hair crazy – and each bottle is good for a couple months at absolute minimum.

freshcream

Philosophy Fresh Cream, $38 – it’s so fresh and pleasant, and breaks down nicely on me. It doesn’t cost a fortune, and it doesn’t give my husband a headache. Clearly, it was meant to be.

Turbie Twist Stock Photo

Turbie Twist, 2 for $13 – Never thought I’d love an As Seen on TV product, but I’m so glad I tried it. I need a second one so I can rotate!

wpid-wp-1448290076442.jpeg

China Glaze Gelaze Gel Polish in Recycle, $11 – Who knew a deep grey polish would be my favorite of the year? I suspected I’d like it (obviously, else I would not have purchased it), but not this much. I’ve worn it a ton since I’ve purchased it and realized it was awesome and chic.

What were your 2015 Favorites? Don’t feel pressured to come up with some ginormous list, but I’d love to get an idea of what you were into!
