beautyblender Nude

I haven’t written a post dedicated solely to the beautyblender, but it has been a recurring topic because I love them (comparison to Bundle Monster sponges here, and the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge here). Recently, a new shade was added to the family of egg-shaped sponges; beautyblender Nude.

The beautyblender sponges come in five colors: Pink (classic), Black (Pro), White (Pure), Red (Red Carpet, limited edition I think), Purple (Royal), and now Nude.

Of course, all the colors are novel, but I don’t really get the marketing for this one. It isn’t a particularly, “fun,” color. Some think it is functional – maybe to mask how in need of a wash it is, I suppose. Personally, I can’t imagine why you’d want to mask that – I don’t wash mine after every use, probably every 2-3. If you’re someone who relies on how your tools look to determine when they need care, trying to mask the use could easily result in using a not-so-hygienic sponge.

On top of that,  foundation in shades lighter than the sponge will make it look ashen between washes, and anything darker will still make it look dirty.

Regardless of my trivial commentary on its coloring, the new addition is the same familiar material that you wet, squeeze, and bounce product onto your face for a flawless finish with. As for me, I’ll be sticking with the PRO black and classic pink.

Which beautyblender is your favorite? Will you be buying the beautyblender Nude?

  1. I am looking for the nude one just because I like having as little dye as possible, but i can’t help but wonder if the white one is bleached lol
