2015 Holiday Gift Guide – Under 50

If you’re looking to spend up to $50 on beauty gifts, I’m keeping the gift guides going – here are some gift ideas in the Under $50 range.
udallnighterduo

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray Duo, $39

Normally $30 for one, this is a pair of full-sized UD All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. I picked up one of these and split it with a friend during Sephora’s VIB sale, but still $39 for two is a great price. Anyone who needs their makeup to last a little longer (who doesn’t?) can benefit from this.

burberrykisses

Burberry Kisses Lipstick, $33

Want to give a little luxe? Britain’s iconic, classic luxury brand has an outstanding makeup line. The chic packaging of the product is pretty enough, but this particular lipstick comes in 28 shades. All you need to do is decide to get a color your recipient will wear and enjoy all the time, or something more preferable for special occasions.

loracpros

LORAC PRO and PRO 2, $42 each

The LORAC PRO was my first palette, and then I purchased, swatched, and reviewed the LORAC PRO Palette 2 when it came out. From the standpoint of owning both, they would both make great gifts for someone starting out or who has an established collection.

arganoil1-7

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil, 1.7oz, $48

For myself, I’ve been buying the 0.5oz size and getting considerable mileage out of them. The larger bottle is one of those things someone may want, but not be willing to pick up for themselves. I’ve been using this for a while now and just repurchased during the VIB sale. This gentle, fragrance- and dye-free oil keeps my skin moisturized and happy, even into the winter months. It’s great for dry skin (body) and for haircare, too.

MUGfacebundle

Makeup Geek Face Brush Bundle, $49

I love giving high-quality tools, and I love supporting female entrepreneurs who are proving, over and over again, that they’re doing it right. Besides, it can be hard to choose color cosmetics for someone else without knowing their precise skintone (not just for foundation – even choosing a flattering blush can be heavily swayed by subtle differences in skin coloring).

champagnepop

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop, $38

Touted as an (almost) universally flattering powder highlight, this is a good bet if your gifting target wants to strobe. Double points if she’s already a fan of Jaclyn.

nakedontherun

Urban Decay Naked on the Run, $32-34

On sale still at Ulta, Sephora, and UD.com (down from $54), this palette features five shadows, a Naked Flushed blush and bronzer (though the bronzer is a bit warmer), Perversion Mascara, 24/7 eye pencil, and Naked Lip Gloss in Sesso. It would be a great kit to keep handy in your purse without requiring a whole makeup bag.

lauramercierbath

Laura Mercier Ambre Vanillè Honey Bath, 12oz $45

Everyone’s gotten one of those obviously-an-afterthought gift baskets with bath products (that don’t have ingredient lists so you can’t make sure they aren’t going to ruin your day…), right? This is nothing like that. This luxurious bubble bath from Laura Mercier is neither kiddy nor something that could be perceived as an afterthought. This is Ambre Vanillè but there are others – a Creme Brulee, a Coconut Almond, and more. They all come with the cute honey dipper to dispense the product to produce a pleasant bubble bath. Admittedly a bit of a splurge, this is the type of thing most people might not bother buying for themselves…which makes it a lovely gift.
