Thanks for coming by today. Regrettably, I don’t have content today. I’ve been playing catch-up due to the unique timing of half a dozen things – getting sick, assuming a new role at ye olde day job, running a weekend-long event last weekend, seeing my best friend for the first time since my wedding (aka over a year; it was high-priority – you understand), among other things. I’m feeling like a fish out of water; I’m not normally this behind, this tired, etc.
I hope to have something more substantial for you by Friday. Today, I need to catch up at the office, go to a dentist appointment, and treat myself to a pedicure.
In the meantime, here are a few things I’ve seen recently that are pretty neat:
- NYX Cosmetics released this $25 essentials kit. I haven’t used most of the products in the kit, but it is a neat-looking set.
- Lisa Eldridge’s book, Face Paint: The Story of Makeup, came out. It’s sold out at the moment, which is awesome! (Not sarcastic. Happy for Lisa.)
- Did you know that Essie makes gel polish? I haven’t found it nearby me in a store, but you can get it online. I plan to.
- This isn’t at all beauty related, but the folks at Cards Against Humanity are the benefactors of scholarships granted to women going into STEM fields. It is funded by sales of the game’s Science Expansion pack, and that’s damn cool. As a woman in tech, I’m beyond delighted to see these opportunities. I’m buying the expansion (duh).
If you haven’t seen/signed up for my Clarisonic Mia giveaway, go check that out. Already have one? Enter anyway, they make great gifts for friends and loved ones.
Thanks for being patient with me.
